WPI Inflation Rate in Nov21 Peak To 14.23%

In India wholesales price index for November 2021 and for the month of September 2021 was released by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is releasing index numbers of wholesale price in India with the Base Year: 2011-12

Provisional figures of WPI were released every month of 14th but with a time lag of two weeks of the reference month and compiled with data received from institutional sources and selected manufacturing units from India.

The inflation is high in Nov21 due to price hikes in mineral oils, basic metals, crude petroleum & natural gas, chemicals and chemical products, food products, etc. as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.

The annual rate of the Wholesale price index high for the month of November is 14.23% released by the Economic Adviser, DPIIT.

On a year-on-year basis, the WPI inflation has massively surged in November. In the same month in 2020, the wholesale inflation rate stood at 2.29 percent.
